My sil informed me that there will always be a lantern festival celebration at Tampines Central Park and asked whether we want to buy the tickets. I agreed cos I think it would be fun for him.
Prior to that, I bought a Doremon lantern for Kayden at the nearby Pasar Malam. Cost only $6. cheap hor.
He was sick a couple of days before the celebration. Was thinking whether to bring him there or not but since he was feeling better, we brought him there.
It was dark when we got there. The place was full of people. There were lion dance performance, wushu and some dance performances going on. We walked around the park where booths were set up.
One of the booths was "Cai Deng Mi". I spent quite some time there but could not solve any as the riddles are very difficult. boo hoo...
This is one of the games Kayden enjoyed watching most. The participant will have to throw the ping pong ball and hope that the ping pong ball will stay in the indentations.
He chuckles whenever the ball rolls down. It was really a comical sight.
However as he took medicine prior to the event, he was drowsy and couldn't really enjoy so we decided to go back earlier. My mil stayed back at the park with my sil and her family, waiting for the lucky draw. Sadly to say, they did not win anything.
All in all, it was a good experience. Will most probably go for it next year when Kayden is more mobile. think he'll enjoy it more.
