Kayden's 3rd & 4th Month Developmental Checkup

Had no time recently to update my blog. Kayden went for his 1st 5-in-1 jab on 11 Nov (Sat). Had to go in the afternoon cos I had to work on Sat (Primary 1 Orientation).

Kayden was 6.7kg and 62cm as at 3 months. Doc says he's ok. He cried when Dr. Lee gave him the jab. Luckily, she was fast and Kayden stopped crying almost immediately when he realised that the pain was gone.

Gave him paracetemol immediately when we came back even though he had no fever. We thought he was ok until about night when we realised that he had fever (38.3 degrees celcius). We quickly sponged him, gave him paracetemol, barley water and put a cloth on his forehead. Later, we put the 'tui re tie' on him and he looks so comical.



His fever went off on Sunday afternoon and Andy and I finally managed to breathe a sigh of relief and could get a moment of rest.
Brought Kayden for his 2nd 5-in-1 jab on 9 Dec (Sat). Kayden wailed very loudly when Dr. Lee gave him the rotarix vaccine. Spit out the vaccine and the doc has to use the syringe to quickly suck it back and feed Kayden again. He din even notice the jab. Dr. Lee was rather fast so Kayden din cry.

He's now 7.2 kg and 64cm long now. growth is now slow compared to the past. He was 6.7kg and 62cm as at 3 months.

Brought him home after the jab and he was cranky and lethargic. He refused to sleep and drank very little on Sat and Sun.
